The Foundation accepts bursary applications at any time. Read about the application process below. To submit an application, click on the red button at the bottom of this page.
To be eligible for financial support to attend an art song program, applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants age 35 or under at the time of their program.
Eligible art song programs are those to which descriptions are provided at the Links tab. Applicants seeking funding to attend programs not listed at the above link must request approval by email before applying.
All applications to the Art Song Foundation of Canada are made through YAP Tracker. The red button below is a direct link to the Foundation’s application page. Please read the Audition Guidelines section at the link for important details regarding audition repertoire requirements.
Applicants must submit a headshot, a biography, a letter confirming acceptance into the program in question, an itemized budget showing projected expenses to attend the program as well as any financial assistance received or anticipated, and an audition video with two art songs, accompanied by piano. Audio-only submissions, and opera/oratorio arias are not accepted.
Successful applicants must provide a brief report to the Foundation after completing their programs, and agree to the inclusion of photos on the Foundation website.
All applications will be adjudicated by the ASFC Board, and decisions will be conveyed promptly.
